How often do you update your listings?
We try to keep the pages as up to date as possible, however we do not have the resources to check over 500+ records to see if they are out of date. Therefore it is important that if you change your details you call Switchboard or use this form to update your information. Operators also record any information that a caller suggests is out of date and we then check to see if anything has changed. If you would like to ring up to check your details, please do so, but please mention this to the operator.
What area do you cover?
We are quiet happy to talk to anyone from anywhere, but our Switchboard pages concentrates on the south east area that includes Southampton and Bournemouth, the Adur area to Kent. We do hold national numbers, but in general we have basic information on different cities, so for example it's unlikely we would have local information on Aberdeen etc, but we can put you in touch with someone who can. |
How unbiased is Switchboard pages?
Our information is collected independently and generally from operator's suggestions, we do not take any form of advertisement, so our information is entirely unbiased. Operators read from a listing that is alphabetic.
What are the criteria for your listings?
To be listed you need to consist of 1 or more of these
- To be aimed or marketed towards LGBT people (for example revenge)
- To be aimed or marketed to include LGBT people (for example dynamite boogaloo)
- To be owned or managed by an LGBT person and to be happy for that knowledge to be made public (for example the PV Pub).

If I submit my details with London Switchboard, will you list them?
London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard and Brighton LGBT Switchboard are two separate charities. Although in past we looked at sharing information because of funding it became too difficult to achieve this. Therefore you will need to submit your listing to both organisations.
