If you are not in the financial position to donate money yourself to Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard, but still would like to financially support us, then how about fundraising on our behalf? By organising an event you would be able to contribute the proceeds to charity.

Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard is a registered charity. All the helpline operators and counsellors give up their time freely and voluntarily. Although this keeps costs down, it does not allow us to arrange our own fundraising events. This is why we really appreciate all those people at pubs, clubs and companies, and many more generous people, who take the time to arrange a fundraising event on our behalf. We find this works very well as people take their own ideas and put them into practice. This way people enjoy themselves but raise money for a good cause as well. All we ask of you is that you have fun.

The great thing about organising your own event is that everyone can get involved and they can do what interests them! Alternatively you could do one of the these:

• Jumble Sales 
• Balloon launches 
• Pub Quiz
• Concerts
• Pub Crawl
• Non-Uniform days
• Sponsored walks

These are just a few ideas, why not come up with your own original idea.
