Our face to face counselling service has been providing people with an opportunity to talk to a professionally trained counsellor since 1997. We offer you counselling with a counsellor who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or trans and is able to support you with whatever your difficulty is.
The counselling service works with a range of issues - including but not only those issues to do with sexual or gender identity difficulties. We offer a maximum of 12 low cost counselling sessions and operate a sliding scale of charges so that what you pay is based on your income. To find out more about our counselling service download our postcard and/or call Switchboard's help-line.
Counselling is by appointment only - to apply for counselling email brighton.admin@switchboard.org.uk, call our office on 01273 207050, or helpline on 01273 204050 (after 5pm).
Switchboard works in partnership to support Brighton Relate in providing couples counselling via the PROUD2CONNECT service. This couples counselling is provided by Relate trained counsellors who identify as LGBT and have been specifically selected for this service due to their understanding of LGBT people and relationships.
To find out more about the PROUD2CONNECT service download our leaflet and/or call Switchboard's help-line. To access the PROUD2CONNECT service contact Relate on 01273 697997. You can also visit Relate's website.
