Purpose of the Role

The Community Activities Coordinator plays a key role within Switchboard’s BOLD 50+ Programme, ensuring that LGBTQ+ people aged 50+ have access to a varied, engaging, and inclusive programme of community activities. The postholder leads on planning, coordinating, and delivering activities that reduce isolation, build connection, and support wellbeing.

The coordinator is the lead staff presence at all BOLD 50+ community activities, ensuring sessions are safe, welcoming, trauma‑informed, and delivered in line with Switchboard’s safeguarding and operational standards. Working closely with volunteers, the role ensures high‑quality delivery, accurate record‑keeping, and a consistent, positive experience for all participants.

Hours: Part‑time (10 Hours Per Week)

Salary: £6,500

Reports to: Gambling Harms and BOLD Service Manager

Location: Brighton & Hove (hybrid)
