GambLGBTQ+: Brighton University’s new LGBTQ+ gambling study

We are recruiting participants for the final phase of the GambLGBTQ+ project that seeks to understand the impact of gambling on LGBTQIA+ communities in and around the city of Brighton & Hove. In particular, we seek participation from people who are included in one or more of the following groups: - from a minoritised race and/or ethnicity background. - are Gypsy, Roma or Traveller. - are trans, non-binary and/or intersex. - are a migrant to the UK, a refugee, or an asylum seeker. - previously or currently experiencing homelessness or sleeping rough. Participants will receive a voucher for their time and will be supported to take photos and discuss these in a small group or at a 1-2-1 interview. Support is available GamCare 0808 8020 133. Survivors’ Network and LGBT Switchboard launch the first national helpline for trans survivors of sexual violence

We are a helpline which offers support to trans people including those who are non-binary and questioning who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lifetime. We offer non-judgemental emotional support and signposting to other organisations who may also be able to offer support. We are a confidential service and can be accessed anonymously by phone or web chat.

If you identify as LGBT * and are keen to contribute to our community, we would love for you to volunteer with our LGBT* Affirmative Counselling Service. We offer the chance to be part of a supportive team and receive regular  supervision.
