UK Lesbian & Gay Immigration Group
The UK Lesbian & Gay Immigration Group (UKLGIG) supports LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration process. Based in London. Holds monthly meetings explaining the asylum process in London and Birmingham. After attending the monthly meeting and registering interest, eligible people will be offered 1-1 support, or peer support groups. For trans asylum seekers, transport costs can be re-imbursed for anywhere in the UK. Can visit LGBTQ asylum seekers held in detention centres if you call them and let them know.
