Switchboard launch survey on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the LGBTQ community in Brighton and Hove

Switchboard have launched a survey to research the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the LGBTQ community in Brighton and Hove.

Working in partnership with Sussex NHS Commissioners and Brighton and Hove City Council we need your help to better understand the experiences of LGBTQ people during the pandemic. The findings of this research will help local services, such as the NHS and Brighton and Hove City Council, to plan for the future, and ensure services meet the needs of all LGBTQ people locally. We also hope it will help support and sustain initiatives which have been helpful in the crisis.

We know from research by the Institute of Fiscal Studies that Covid-19 has exacerbated inequalities across the country. The charity LGBT Foundation produced a report last year which confirmed this to be the case across LGBTQ communities too.

We believe that central to addressing these inequalities is co-designing the solutions and ensuring that the voices and ideas of LGBTQ people themselves are heard. This survey is an opportunity to do that.

If you answer all questions thoroughly, we anticipate the survey might take 10 minutes to complete. When you have completed it, you can choose whether to be entered into a prize draw with 4 prizes, 2 x £50 vouchers and 2 x £25 vouchers.

Complete the survey here.

If you would like to receive the survey in another format, please contact [email protected].

We will also be holding individual interviews and focus groups to explore in more detail some of the issues raised in the survey. If you are interested, please email [email protected].
