Participants needed to take part in Research with the Office for National Statistics

Opportunity to take part in research with the Office for National Statistics for the 2021 census to help develop questions related to sex and gender. In particular they are interested in hearing from trans men, trans women, non-binary people and people with intersex traits. Participants will receive £50 as a thank you.

This research will involve participants viewing and answering some survey questions. Participants will be invited to give us feedback about their experience of answering the questions through an interview that will usually take place at their home address or at one of our offices/meeting rooms in Brighton, Titchfield (Fareham), London or Newport (South Wales).

The interview will last no longer than one and a half hours, and participants do not need to have any specific knowledge of survey questions.

We are looking for volunteers to take part in research to help us develop questions related to sex and gender. We would really appreciate the views of people with a range of characteristics. We are specifically interested in speaking to trans men, trans women, people who do not have a binary gender and people with intersex traits. It will be a good opportunity for people to provide input into how they wish to be recognised on ONS surveys.

Everything discussed during the research interviews will be anonymous and kept non-identifiable and participants will receive £50 for helping.

We will be running the interviews Monday to Friday from 9am-7pm in March and April 2018 and we can usually arrange times around what suits participants the best.

Please contact [email protected] for more information or if you or anyone you know would be interested in taking part.
