Our Older People’s Project is for LGBTQ people aged 50+ looking for a sense of community, support or information.
We provide those aged 50+ with a number of regular social activities, meet ups and trips. We also provide information and host workshops about services for older people and make connections for people within the community and to other services.

Currently we offer three day time drop ins a month:
First Wednesday of each month:
Modelo Lounge, 143-145 Church Road, Hove | 10.30 – 12.00.
Next Dates: 1st May, 5th June.
Third Thursday of each month:
Emmaus Cafe in Portslade Village | 11 – 1pm.
[On the Number 1 bus route, get off at St. Nicholas Church]
Next Dates: 16th May, 20th June.
Fourth Tuesday of each month:
The Breakfast Club cafe, 11-13 Market Street, The Lanes | 10.00 – 11.30.
[The Breakfast Club cafe is situated near Bartholomew Square, up the paved walkway from East Street near Donatello’s]
Next Dates: 21st May, 25th June.
We also offer regular trips out and workshops on relevant issues.
Switchboard are also working in partnership with Impetus to recruit LGBTQ befrienders to match with LGBTQ clients. If you’re an LGBTQ person who would like to volunteer as a befriender, or would like to be befriended, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
