Refuge provides specialist support to women, children and some men escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence. Refuges specialist services include refuges, independent advocacy, community outreach projects, culturally specific services and the 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline, run in partnership with Womens Aid.
Stopover is a service for young women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and need a safe place to live, where they will be supported to develop so that they are prepared to move on to independent living.
Brighton Womens Centre support self-identifying women in Sussex from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues, to live happier lives. Their services include counselling, mentoring, accomodation support, support for women involved in the criminal justice system and a twice weekly drop-in group, as well as regular wellbeing activities.
