Lived Experience Steering Group

We are setting up a steering group for Switchboard’s Domestic Abuse service. A steering group acts as a board of LGBTQ+ survivors who are passionate about inclusive services and ensuring that the work we do is survivor-led, and what our community needs.
Do you:
  • Have lived experience of domestic abuse as an LGBTQ+ person?
  • Want to give something back to the community while gaining valuable skills and experience?
  • Love working as a team and want to contribute to a fast-growing and innovative service?
  • Have a few hours to spare?
This is a great opportunity to get involved with our work a few times a year and will give you experience of working with a charity. This opportunity is particularly suited to community members who have been out of work for a while and want to get some paid experience, or those who are passionate about charity work and the community.
Participation in this group is paid at £25 per hour, which includes work undertaken at the steering group & any additional work outside of meetings.

The steering group will meet at least 4 times a year.

For more information please see the attached steering group information pack which details commitments and how to apply.

Once you are ready, you can apply here or you can apply on the application pack and send to [email protected]

Deadline is 25th August at 12:00pm
