Somewhere safe where someone can wait until the Police or a trusted contact can reach them or they have been able to access any necessary information and advice to keep them safe.
Access to a phone if required to call Sussex Police, a trusted contact or another support service.
Sussex Police work closely with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) communities to promote equality and encourage the reporting of homophobic, biphobic and transphobic related hate crime.
We have a network of CEAs throughout the districts of Sussex so there are points of contact locally. For more information head to our LGBT+ page.
LGBT+ CEAs are established across the force. Similar to other liaison officer roles, they receive specialist inputs to raise their knowledge and understanding, and create awareness in LGB and T issues. LGBT+ CEAs will act as a point of contact for LGBT+ communities and individuals, to build relations to increase trust, confidence and encourage reporting of crime.
