LGBTQ+ refugees, asylum seekers and migrants invited to first IRIS event

Switchboard has teamed up with fellow Brighton-based charity Conversation Over Borders (COB) to start a new service for LGBTQ refugees, asylum seekers and migrants – and are inviting people to its free first event. The new service is IRIS, which stands for International Rainbow Integration Service. It offers friendly, discreet, weekly social groups and one-to-one social prescribing support. Switchboard is inviting LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic abuse to reflect on 2023 at our free December Survivor Space event. Our Domestic Abuse team will host the session from 11am until 2pm on Monday 18 December at Community Base, 113 Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3XG. They will invite group members to mark the end of the year and chat about how to keep safe during the holiday season when many services are closed.
